Understanding the key role food plays in fatigue and inflammation for Lyme patients.

Clinical Nutritionist Karen Siclare will join us for a discussion of nutrition strategies to optimize outcomes with Lyme disease. Lyme disease often produce widespread inflammation in the body resulting in pain, fatigue and dysfunction. Nutrition is a powerful tool in combating chronic inflammation and can provide support for the nervous system as well. Come learn about simple ways to help the body tolerate and heal .

Karen is Associate Director of the Nutrition Graduate program at the University of Bridgeport and holds a Masters Degree in Human Nutrition and board certification in clinical nutrition. She is an active member of the Certifying Board of Nutrition Specialists and is active in lobbying state legislatures to educate on the need and efficacy of nutrition counseling in our quest to reverse our country’s healthcare crisis. She is also a member of the American College of Nutrition. Karen has served on the Ridgefield Public Schools Steering Committee on Nutrition and Wellness for 9 years. She maintains a practice, Whole Health LLC, counseling in nutrition and wellness in Ridgefield.
