CVS stores throughout Fairfield County, CT got behind the BLAST message. End cap displays showcasing Lyme disease prevention information and recommended repellent products were created directly across from 10 CVS pharmacy areas. The pharmacists, concerned about the rising number of cases of Lyme disease in Connecticut, actively explained the BLAST recommendations and encouraged patrons to increase their prevention habits. The effort was coordinated by head Ridgefield CVS pharmacist Eileen Kile. (2009)
